kaho, The Next Utada Hikaru?

It seems like the Japanese music industry has found a second Utada Hikaru in 14-year-old singer and songwriter, kaho. The young artist's debut single "every hero" was given a break as it is currently being used as the theme song for Fuji TV's new drama "Miss Pilot".
kaho's similarities with the popular 90's teen pop artist Utada Hikaru are real close as she also debuted in her early teens, has a parent who is a singer, writes and composes her own songs, and was raised in a foreign country.
kaho, who speaks English, Japanese and French, is the daughter of 80's idol Naoko Kawai and hairstylist Kanehara Takayasu. Coincidentally, Kanehara has once worked with Utada, as well as the budding singer's producer, Akira Miyake.
She may still have a long way to go as she is subject to put focus on her studies first but knowing her talents, versatility and determination as an artist this early will surely pave her way to success.
kaho's debut single "every hero/Strong Alone" will be released on November 27th.

Atsuko Maeda's Starring Film "Seventh Code" To Have International Premiere

Atsuko Maeda will once again star in a festival premiere movie after "Tamako in Moratorium" which was premiered in South Korea for its Busan International Film Festival. Directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, "Seventh Code" is set to be seen in Rome for the 8th Rome Film Festival that will happen on November 8-17.
Kurosawa also wrote the screenplay for the film which is about 'Akiko' (Maeda) who's from Tokyo where she met 'Matsunaga', played by Ryohei Suzuki. Later in the story, Akiko travels to Vladivostok, Russia where he bumps into Matsunaga again but didn't recognize her. During her stay in the foreign country, she goes through unfortunate events that involved attacks from mafias.
Hiroshi Yamamoto and Chinese actress Aissy will also appear in the film. Its release date has yet to be confirmed.

AKB48 Reveal Details Of Upcoming Single "Heart Ereki"

he concept of their 33rd single "Heart Ereki" is "band" and this time the center position is for Kojima Haruna, who wears as all the other girls a blue and red uniform. The single will come in 5 different edition (A, K, B, 4, Theater), each with a special cover jacket with AKB48 members.

AKB48's Reina Fujie & Miyu Takeuchi Star In A New Horror Film

AKB48 member Reina Fujie and Miyu Takeuchi will co-star for Kooichi Ueno's upcoming horror film "Nemurihime: Dream On Dreamer".
Fujie will be playing as 'Ayame', a high school girl who has a mysterious case of insomnia which makes her look tiresome like a "Himono Onna" (dried fish woman). She encounters frightful waking dream that predicts the death of her sister, which will be portrayed by Takeuchi.
Also starring Erina Nakayama and Fuyuna Asakura, "Nemurihime: Dream On Dreamer" will open in Japanese cinemas in 2014.

Atsuko Maeda Reportedly Dating A Kabuki Actor

Former AKB48 member Atsuko Maeda is rumored to have a budding romance with Kabuki actor, Matsuya Onoue. After more than a year of going solo, Maeda has been doing good in both her acting and singing career. But leaving the group also means shunning away from the relationship ban, giving way for her to date.
It was reported on September 24th that Maeda and Onoue officially started dating in March this year but has met each other through a common friend much earlier. The 22-year-old singer/actress was spotted watching the musical "Romeo & Juliet" where Onoue is part of the cast.
