AKB48's Tomomi Kasai To Graduate From Group

Kasai Tomomiis a member of AKB48's Team A, formerly from Team B, originally from Team K. She also have a solo career. On December 17, 2012, she announced that she would be graduating from AKB48.

 

AKB48 member Tomomi Kasai will be graduating from the group in order to focus on her solo career.
The announcement was made today during AKB48's 2nd annual "Kohaku Takou Uta Gassen" event in Tokyo. Kasai went on stage by herself and told the audience she would be graduating from the group.
"I joined AKB48 when I was 14 years old and have been part of the group for 6 1/2 years.I've learn so much, and now that I have a chance to go solo, I would like to make songs with my own ability from now on," she tearfully stated.
Details about the singer's graduation will be revealed as soon as details are worked out.
