JKT48, as the first sister group of AKB48 outside Japan, has already had numerous members since its formation back in 2011. Following Team J which was formed in December 2012, at the end of “Matahari Milikku” show by Team Trainee on June 25, 2013, the formation of JKT48 Team KIII was announced.
According to the tradition of 48 Group, the name was taken from the initial of the group. As Team K of AKB48 was formed in 2006, followed by Team KII of SKE48 in 2009, the second team of JKT48 was named Team KIII.
The 18 members chosen for JKT48 Team KIII were Alicia Chanzia, Cindy Yuvia, Della Delila, Dwi Putri Bonita, Intar Putri Kariina, Jennifer Hanna, Lidya Maulida Djuhandar, Nadila Cindi Wantar, Natalia, Noella Sisterina, Octi Sevpin, Ratu Vienny Fitrilya, Riskha Fairunissa, Rona Anggreani, Shinta Naomi, Sinka Juliani, Thalia, and Viviyona Apriani. Meanwhile, the captain still remains a surprise to be revealed on the next announcement.
Both Team J and Team KIII would have their own songs and theater set lists, while the remaining trainee members of JKT48 would be their backup.
With the ”idol you can meet” concept, JKT48 holds routine shows on their theater at f(x) Sudirman, Jakarta, where fans could see the growth of each JKT48 member, not only in singing and dancing but also in other talents and performances.
