AKB48 member Sayaka Nakaya
announced today her sudden graduation from the group. The idol will be
leaving on March 6th after her upcoming theater performance.
Nakaya will be leaving AKB48 in order to pursue her dream of becoming an anime voice actress. The idol will be auditioning for a role in her favorite anime. The audition requires that she doesn't belong to any agency, so in addition to leaving AKB48, she will also be leaving her agency Mousa.
"I was too dependent in this comfortable environment, but I've found something that made me determined to graduate...There's no guarantee I'll get this part, but its something I really want to try for even if I have to leave this wonderful environment," Nakaya wrote on her blog.
Nakaya joined AKB48 in 2006 as part of the group's 3rd generation, becoming part of team K. Although she may be leaving the group, she still hopes to continue receiving support from her fans.
"I'm sorry for the sudden announcement. I'll be starting over from scratch, but I'll hang in there because of all I've done so far. Please continue to support Sayaka Nakaya from here on out," she wrote.
Nakaya is the 3rd AKB48 member to announce their graduation this year. Tomomi Itano and Moeno Nito will both be leaving the group sometime later in the year.
