NMB48 member Kanna Shinohara announced on March 21st during a theater performance that she will be graduating from the group.
In a blog post on NMB48's official blog, Shinohara shared her feelings of inadequacy due to her inability to come to the forefront of the group.
"I've given my best effort after failing to become a Senbatsu member, but it wasn't enough. I couldn't make a good announcement for you due to my inadequacy. I'm very sorry for you all," she started.
"I've been to handshake events and was told 'Why are you even in team N?'. I was really sad and even wished I was promoted to team N...Even though I've been through some hardships and was scared to attend handshake events, I was still able to enjoy the events and was comforted thinking there were people who were waiting for me, who wanted to see me, who wanted to cheer for me," she continued.
In addition to graduating from NMB48, Shinohara has also graduated from junior high school. With the future wide open, the idol wishes to pursue modeling.
"I've always dreamed of being a model and never forgot my wish to make this dream come true...I'll try my best to pursue my dream of becoming a model!!!," she said.
Shinohara's graduation date has not been set. Details regarding her graduation will be released after plans have been made.
